EDWARD TIGOR SIAHAAN

Edward Tigor Siahaan born in Tarutung, Nort Sumatra, Indonesia, in 1964, was a self-taught photographer before commencing studies in 1993 at the Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. He began his professional carrer with SWA magazine in Jakarta and World Excecutive Digest in the Philippines. Trought these two magazines, he was able to produce numerous photographic works that emphasised the human element, reflecting his belief that a photograph has more spirit when in features a person. In 1998, his photographic works were selected for inclusion in The Art Director's Index to Photographers published in Britain. In additian to his work in commercial photography, he also contributes time for teaching photography at a leading communications school in Jakarta.
